If they did a spinoff, it couldn't even remotely resemble the "300" comic book style GoT would have been a better model. Caesar had a deep sense about Roman political conventions, being negatively affected as a teenager by the Marian/Sulla civil war. Caesar was known for composing poetry perhaps not well, but definitely more politically biting and racy. Instead of making JC wild & aggressive, he should have been aggressive but much more opportunistic and calculating. They made him way too common, lacking an above average intellect. I agree Spartacus's Julius Caesar would be closer to an accurate portrayal, but I didn't find myself particularly attached to it. I loved that they made him kind of wild and aggressive but also kept the intelligence, composure and charm. Spartacus has probably my favorite portrayal of Julius Caesar. Which pieces of media? There's no reconciling that stereotype with the historical record, even in Caesar's later years. Pretty much every piece of media does Caesar the exact same way.
